About the Heir

He had been through alot himself but deals with it well .He is a spitting image of his father in every way, although he falls a Lil short in the hight, for now lol.Brandon had made it a point to spend alot of time together with him fishing and working on the car,he had a blast. When the funeral came and we did the motorcade from the Airport to the funeral home.We sat in the lead car behind dad and he new then and there what was going on,and he cried so much he fell asleep. When they had the closed casket viewing,he asked me if his daddy really was in there,I told him yes.He had asked everyone why his daddy was in there, and someone told him he was in there changing into his superhero costume.I told him that he was with god now.He did his job,now he is in a new place. Then I let it be.He kept saying and still says: My daddy's a hero.He would fight with anyone that called him a super hero it was and is so cute. When we drove to the cemetery he cried, and asked why we didn't get to ride right behind dad like we did earlier. When we came home it was really rough for the first few days. However he manages to deal with this better then any of us,really. He so strong and smart and loves giving super great hugs.He asked if we could work on the car,so we started and I've found that helps him a lot.He still does not understand to the full magnitude of the situation and he talks to me all the time.He tells me that I am doing so good at driving my dads car.He says he can drive it to.I think that the more and more he grows, the more I will see Brandon in him,its great. He talks more then his dad did and its nice.He is doing well in school and is the head of his class. He likes to think that his daddy taught every one how to drive a stick shift, and you cant change his mind about that, AT ALL.He tries to get me to let him drive the car down to his and daddy's fishing pond.Because he caught the fish and dad didn't,and he giggles about that all the time. I couldn't ask for a happier son,and I look forward to him picking up one of dads guitars and strumming it as good as his dad.Or seeing him behind the wheel of his daddy's car he helped build, looking just as proud, with the same cocky little grin his dad had. Then him telling me; I can drive just like my dad and he would be so proud wouldn't he mom.
